S&D GROUP LIMITED

From its foundation in 1980 the S&D Group has seen dramatic growth both organically and through acquisition. With a turnover in excess of US$125M the group employs over 240 people in the offices throughout the world.

The Group is owned by the working directors, a number of whom were previously employed by LPC Chemicals & Dyes.

A strong continuity exists between the two companies as LPC was co-founded in 1936 by the family of one S&D's main shareholders.

In 1986, majority shareholdings in Twinstar Chemicals Group was acquired, which included Chesham Chemicals and Cosmetochem UK. Five years later, M. W. Hardy and its subsidiaries, which by then included LPC Chemicals & Dyes, were incorporated into S&D Chemicals.

More recently a number of new companies, covering specialised areas of business, have been set up.

The S&D Group is therefore ideally placed to offer wide-based expertise covering a variety of products and markets.
